My family and I migrated to Sydney Australia late 1966.The first hostel we stayed on was Cabramatta. We then moved to Berkeley where we stayed until it closed and we were moved to Fairy Meadow (Balgownie). We stayed for 2 years and returned to the UK in 1968. I have some wonderful memories of our trip and feel priviledged to have had the opportunity to experience life in Australia. Bev. |

Welcome bev, glad you made it.
Our family stayed at Unanderra hostel (1967-69) which was basically just over the other side of the hill from Berkeley. We sometimes walked over to Berkeley Hostel along Berkeley road from Five Islands Road as we played soccer there etc.
Anyways Bev, feel free to browse the forums and if you see something youd like to comment on, then please do, or, if you can think of anything that might spark a few memories then dont hesitate, have a bash at creating a few topics because you never know, some day someone may know what your talking about and join in.
