Linda found a folder on the hostels, but as I had already established through the archives, there was nothing on Altona until 1969
We are hoping to have a get together at Eastern Beach in Geelong in the warmer weather, and hope more of you will be able to make that. |
And what was the date Susan?? Mum |

You girls missed out big-time @ William Angliss- they had the most beautiful eclairs for 70c each, and 12" iced sponges for $4.50, and little sticky-date puddings for $2.25.
I bought a box of 12 eclairs, and some of them didn't make it to Southern Cross station! |

I just noticed the heading of this thread and it says August 17th and we actually went on the 16th ...could that have been a reason for the no show of certain people ? _________________ Carol Myers Altona Hostel Dec 1962 - June 1964 |

lol, yep, sure could have been, but we had specified that it would be the MONDAY as that was most convenient for the most people, so really the actual date didn't matter. _________________ Resident of Altona Hostel, 1963-1965 |

Mum, we arrived on Friday the 31st May, a rather significant date isn't it? _________________ Resident of Altona Hostel, 1963-1965 |
