Left Aberdeenshire august 1964 travelled to Southampton and boarded the Fairsky cant recall much until Cairo had a long wait during the day in Suez as another convoy passed from the Red Sea. Aden was my first time back on dry land. Indian Ocean was a long section as I recall, Fremantle was a welcome stop. Then across to Adelaide was the roughest ride of all, the southern ocean really tossed us around, had a trip to the Adelaide Hills for some reason. Then on to Melbourne and was getting used to the sightseeing. Next was Sydney where we disembarked and we were taken by bus to a medical in the city then on to the hostel at Bossley park, this being the Big Brother movement farm,(It is now known as Camsley Hill farm) from here I went on to a dairy farm at Appin which did not last very long. I moved to the western area of Sydney where I have spent the last forty five years. My occupation has taken me to most parts of NSW northern Vic southern Qld. It has been a hard road and now being retired all the times and memories were all well worth the trip. Have returned to the old dart on one occasion and can only say was glad to get back. Have been registered on the BBM site for a few years have only been able to make contact with one of the group I came out with their may be some registered under this site there was fifteen youth's all in their late teens and an escort. I have been able to obtain a list names through the Government archive site. I hope there may some of the group I came with on this site, as it would be interesting to know how they came down through the years. My Australian family grown over the years to three children and six grand children. Rolling Eyes
