The ss Australis was the vessel that shipped our family to Australia back in April1967 and was the same ship that brought us back to the UK in Novenmber1973.
Some where along the lines it was renamed to the American star and while in the processes of being towed to another port it broke its moorings and became beached.
Perhaps someone was making sure that our family didn�t return to Au. Mr. Green
