My name is Louise Heron, I stayed in the hostel in 1960. We only stayed for about 8 months, me and sister loved our time there. I have 4 sisters their names are Maureen, Margaret, Jackie and Pat we moved to Perth and later back to Scotland.
I will be returning to Australia in October and will visiting Altona. I would love to hear from anyone who may remember me especially PAT HEANEY who had a sister called Rhona and a brother Richard.

Pat Heaney is alive and well and posts on the Altona thread. We had a little gathering a few weeks ago in Williamstown. Stay in touch, and maybe we can organise something for you in October.

Such a coincidence, I had been looking for louise for
years and gave up. I was on a cruise down the Med
in July, we were on the Island of Ibiza and to kill
time we went into an Internet cafe for a little play
And there was an email from Louise, well you could
have knocked me over with a feather, she of course
thought I was in Australia and I thought she was too,
but she was in Scotland and I was on my way there in
a couple of weeks, it was a shock I can tell you. Well
we caught up and have arranged to meet again when
she is in Australia in October, I can't Waite, gosh this
is all too good. Hope to catch up with Gwen too in
October
