Hi Bob(Prince) On many occasions when I was rostered for baggage examination duties at Port Melbourne for one or more of the migrant ships arriving in the pm, I would leave Victoria Docks(Melbourne)where I had been patrolling in the am and being hot and sweaty, on getting to Port Melbourne, I would go for a dip in the area to the left side of the Port where there was a small beach. The storywas that because the ships berthed there, sometimes four at a time, effluent from them might attract sharks but I never saw or experienced any at all other that after my dip I went and had a good hot shower in the Customs gate office at the entrance, good to hear from you all, David
