After reviving an old Hard Drive that I thought I had lost everything from, I post here today a photo of the old Commonwealth Orange Mugs that we used in 1968 on the East Hills Hostel. Enjoy. Open for discussion. Regards, Richard Hallford.

We were given white ones in 1964/65. I don't think I ever saw one without tea stains.
We couldn't find white replacements, the orange ones sold for 10d at that time in Knock and Kirby's in Liverpool. If you had an orange one everyone knew you had broken your original. Later on they produced white ones with either a red flower or brown flower pattern, I think I had a red flower at Dundas Hostel.
I havn't seen any since the late 70s. |

We had the white ones and then the orange ones (can't expect one each to last 18 and a half years ) but didn't have the luxury of a flower one ,red or brown
You are clever with words Aussietrekker especially in general chat good on you . _________________ Kind regards,

I can't believe somebody kept a photo of those unforgettable orange mugs! We had a set of them when we lived at East Hills in 1971. |
