As a youngster my parents migrated to Australia in 1956 on the Fairsea. The hostel was different. Not impressed with the catering. The food was yuk. It was made edible with Tomato sauce.Only stayed there just over a year. Vaguely remember going to school in the Hostel then later to Forest Hills Primary. Didnt like primary school. Moved to the Sandringham area and then to Adelaide. Eventually became a secondary teacher.
