NORAH MCMANUS died in October, aged 92. Sadly, she survived three of her children (Louis, Mary-Jo and Margaret). My sister Colette was a regular visitor at her nursing home in Werribee, and attended the funeral.

Had a message today from Pat Heaney, who just found out that MARION MCLEAN passed away in July. She was married to another hostel inmate, Terry McVeigh.

KAY SIMONDS, younger sister of Carol and Wendy, age 57. They were in the hostel from 1964-66 and went to Seaholme Primary. They returned to England in 1966 and I caught up with them a couple of years ago. Kay had lots of excellent photos from the hostel and the voyage home. Their father had an uncle in Altona, who founded Simonds builders. I shall miss Kay as she was on Facebook almost every day, but will see her sisters again in August.
