Hi, my father and mother and sister Dina and brother Bob occupied the hostel from 1957 to 1960. We knew lots of families including kids my own age, Ray, johnny, Ronny, Betty, Ann, Gina, Jackie, plus some kids from the Australian camp. We enjoyed watching TV in the TV room, Housie on a Friday, the dances on a Saturday and swimming in the Lane Cove river on summer weekends. I had an old blue Morris car on the hostel and filled it up with pals so we could visit all the local attractions including the pictures at Lindfield and Roseville and the Billiard hall at Chatswood. Those were the days!
