Hi there, it's always a pleasure to share happy memories, a time lost to us forever, eh? Do you remember the jellyfish in the river and the times when violent storms would bring down power lines and flood us out?
Kind regards,
Leigh |

Yes, I remember the jellyfish....my brother got stung by them many times!! He found a red belly black snake under some corrugated iron sheeting...on the desert...I almost trod on a baby brown snake near the river. Those times were filled with mixed memories.....both bitter and sweet!! It's lovely to connect up with someone who shares these memories!! Also remember those storms.
Cheers Jill :) |

I was there in 2009 to visit the old site. The bleeding jelly fish were still going up and down the river. Maybe they know something we dont!. Of course its a new bridge now, but some things just dont change. Its about time I revisited the site. Anyone game? _________________ East Hills Hostel Aug 1966 to 1968. Nissen Huts 81 and 83d |

Hi Leigh this is your dear friend's and neighbors here Alan & Rosalind, we were blown away to see that you had put a picture of yourself and our son Dean with bikes on the Heathcote Hostel Forum.
How time has flown since our hostel day's, Dean is coming up to 58yrs old this July. We wont go into details of our age Leigh!!!
I looked into our hostel days in 2014, alas it has been 6yrs since I last looked up this site, and as I said blown away to see that you have posted stories and camp site details we found it very interesting and brought back many memories, as it would to many people.
Well done Leigh and best wishes from Ros & Alan Kitchin. |
