Hello all,,

As a four year old I emigrated with my family to Australia from Hamburg Germany in 1960. Being so young I thought it quite an adventure.

We sailed on the Castel Felice which took eight weeks (I think). We disembarked in Melbourne in July 1960, made our way to Bonegilla by train. Then onto to Skyville and finally to Fairy Meadow Hostel. We stayed there for about six months. My parents sort private rental in Lake Illawarra while they built a house near Warilla beach. My parents both in their 80s still live there today.
