Hi, We came here on the OTRANTO departing UK on 18 April 1956, parents and three little girls. I was born in Bromley Kent and we lived in Presteign prior to coming to Australia. I still remember my mother crying as the bus came down the unmade potted road and it was raining. She must have wondered what she had let herself in for by moving. Also remember the three rooms in the hut (half a hut actually) and the white sheets and towels handed to us. The canteen where there was no processed food and I even managed to get a holiday job washing the vegetables.

Thanks Len. I came upon this forum by accident and after reading many of the contributions started to, just for fun, try to find passenger lists and then look at births deaths marriages etc. What a minefield! I truly admire anyone who gets going on family trees. Thanks again.
