There was a rescue/paramedic show too.

Did you switch to being paramedics for the casualties of your Samurai swords?

We didn't have commercial television in Holland, so TV here in 1965, was a bit of a revelation for us. I was shocked by "World Championship Wrestling" on at noon on Saturdays and Sundays. I thought it was real at first Embarassed
After school I'd watch "Komedy Kapers" with the lovely Penny Spence. Lots of cartoons and kids' serials Remember "Jim Bowie"?
Saturday afternoon was time for "Saturday Date" with Tony Murphy. Kids dancing to the latest tunes with the occasional 'live' performance. Normie Rowe made his TV debut, I'm pretty sure, on this show with "It Ain't Necessarily So".

I can only remember one family at Holmesglen Hostel having a television when I was there 1958 - 1962.
The family was called Maclean, the children were Keith, Susan and Philip, and their parents were very nice about the hordes of kids who visited their hut whne the television was on.
I remember The Mickey Mouse Club, The Hardy Boys, and I think there was a comedian or a show called Sydney from Sydney.

King Corkey, king of the kids. He's the one for me.

I can't remember everything about the show but I certainly remember the Puppet Gerry Gee. It was a wonderful time in the early sixties in Australia. It all seemed fresh and new. Captain Pugwash, The Tarax Show.

I wish I could return to those good old days.

The main programs I remember were The Three Stooges and Crusader Rabbit (a cartoon)

There was also the ABC Children's Hour. Our class at Artarmon Primary did a live performance of "The Selfish Giant" on that in 1961.
