Hi, I found this forum by accident and couldn't wait to register. In May 1963 our family emigrated to Ausralia, we sailed on the 'Oriana' and spent just over 2years at NUNAWADING Hostel. There was Mum , Dad and six Daughters 14,12,11,8,6 and 3, quite a handful but well behaved back then.
We sailed back to England on the 'Flavia' Sep 1965.
Our time spent there was full of many experiences and sacrifices. _________________ The most precious gift you can give, is your time. |

Holy moses! that must have been a huge task. I know when our family emigrated, my father clamed to have carried my young sister all the way to Aus as she was only 4yr old and it was impractical to be using a pram on board ship.
Anyways, Welcome. Its great to have you here.
