I am currently working at Southern Star, on the development of a documentary series for SBS on the history of immigration to Australia since 1901. I am in the early stages of research for this project and am looking specifically at assisted migration at the moment.

I am very interested in having a chat with people who have direct experience of the migrant hostels. Or those who's parents have. At the moment this is purely for research purposes.

If commissioned, this documentary is to be made in conjunction with Screen Australia to make up part of their archives. It is an important project which will act as an historical document for future generations, studying the different immigration policies that have built Australia since 1901. For this reason we are keen to give voice to all migrant groups.
