Well I know it's going to be a needle in a haystack but you never now.
I had lots of friends while our family stayed at the Hostel (1967-1969).
I remember very strongly three of them.
They are:

Colin Stuart ........No idea where Colin's family ended up
Susan Tasker .... I Believe Susan's family moved to Dapto.
Jillian Brown .......Jillian's family moved back to Birmingham UK 1969 ish

Any info please post.

Hi Len
I remember Colin Stewart,he was from Yorkshire.
I also remember Gillian and Sue.We were all great friends.
Gillian went back to Manchester in 1969.My Mom who still lives in England gets Christmas Cards from Alma and Arthur Gillians parents.
They live near Rochdale or did anyway.
Sue Taskers family went to Dapto???

Thanks for that Ian. All these years I thought Gillian was from Birmingham.
I remember we a group of friends usually all sat together in the canteen for dinner/ breakfast times.

Hi Len

I so remember you now - epecially as I spotted your surname. I also have great memories of Ian and Anthony Cowan. I have lost contact with Sue now but she did come over to England in the late seventies and came to visit with her children. My mum and dad did indeed keep in contact with Don and Brenda Cowan but Mum dies in Dec 2007 and Dad is 90 this June and has a hard time with his hips and legs - and memory a little shakey too at times so I think he no longer sends Xmas cards. As I listed in another forum I can get hold of lots of photos so maybe you and whoever can help identify the faces on them. Very Happy

Hi Jill and welcome to our forums. Seems the haystack isnt as big as I first thought.
For many years I thought your family was from Birmingham. I dont know why I thought that, or even why Birmingham but anyways Ian put me right.
I dont know if you know already but Ian Cowan has joined the forums and is probably lurking in the sidelines somewhere.

It's great to have you here and if you do find any old photos then email them to me. Unfortunately the forums dont have any uploading facilities for uploading images. So Ill have to upload them manually
