Hi Charlie. You can look up your own emmigration papers (or that of your parents) on the National Archives of Australia. I can help you if you are not familiar with this. Just drop me a PM and I can help. Kindest Regards, Richard Hallford.

Thanks Richard, had a look and the actual record is not digitised and needs to be ordered.
Don't know if it would be worth it.
Does it have more detail than the summary?
Finding this site has prompted me to look through my own "archives".
Have found a couple of Norlane pics, will post soon.

I cant help you with more detail and the site is quite useless at this. But what I can tell you is that when I accessed my own and my fathers records, there was really excellent material there. Application papers, letters, photos I did not know existed, a whole history of my Dads empoyment, including his RAF service record which he must have produced in order to emmigrate. I have been more than satisfied with the results of the copy. Just bare in mind that once you order an on line digital copy, everyone on the planet can see it. If there is anything sensitive, then you should order a hard copy sent to you in the mail. I think its only about $25.00 for the hard copy. The digital one of course you can download as many times as you want, as its free to all after the initial cost. But, no, there is very little detail that you can see on the NAA database. Regards, Richard.
