So where did you go for lunch? 5 hours indeed; would have been "stuffed" by the end of that. lol _________________ Resident of Altona Hostel, 1963-1965 |

May I suggest 3 days over that weekend as there will be so much happening with all the interactions 1 day would be too short a time for so much catching up??? |

Also as this is the most recent posts I can find by all you young llady's I have acsess to a bbq on a big trailer, purposely built to cook for the masses, it holds about 500 bangers in one go on 2 fold out plates, and has its own comparments to hold lots of ice and cold drinks (lemonade maybe lol) if you give me the word I will do my best to arrange it. |

Yeah Carole I love to cook and I am famous for my apple pies and pizza with your choice of topping, all made from scratch, as I have the talents from hours in the kitchen helping Mum who loved to bake and make every pastry under the sun and some of that must have rubbed off. lol I even have a niece in Mt Wallace married to a sheep farmer and could arrange all the meat and snags for all the freeloaders on the day, so we can work out numbers later on and I'm sure that if everybody agreed to chip in all small donation towards the cost I could handle it in my stride to make all the arrangements to feed all the inmates on the day. |

Hi Andy,
As a member of Lions, I know the value of BBQ trailers. I know of at least 3 such trailers so could also probably get hold of one if you are not able to get yours. I think that we could definitely benefit from a BBQ trailer. Thanks for the offer. The offer of the meat is very nice also. A cost of around $10 per head should cover it don't you think? Also, people bring a salad and or dessert to share. Andy, you will have to bring your apple pie, lol. I also love lemon meringue, hint hint. _________________ Resident of Altona Hostel, 1963-1965 |

Thanks Susan I spoke to the guy in charge of the bbq last night to make a tentive booking and he is going to get back to me, so I will let you know either way when I find out. $10 a head sounds fair enough and maybe when we get an idea of the numbers coming closer to the day and start planning re the numbers of snags, chops, steaks, bread, rolls and maybe soft drinks for everyone costs per person could be more accuratly worked out, it may work out to be only say $7.00 per person, Getting people to bring salads etc is a good idea and I will throw in a large apple pie, but I have never tackled a lemon merange Chat later Andy |
