I'm in the process of organising my Christmas card list, and would love to be able to send cards to all my old and new friends. Please give me your postal addresses, and those of people like Marion and Terry McVeigh, Nora and ? (nee Griffin) and Doreen and ? Martin. You can send them as a PM as it's probably not a great idea to put them in the general forum.

Organised for the first time in like forever. Just that I found my address book, birhtday and Christmas card organiser etc when we moved. lol

just goes to show Sue that you can never be too early,they are planning all the xmas functions at work and I have to do all my ordering for xmas week now,and I dont know how many I am catering for yet.It sorta gets dragged out too long,by the time Christmas comes I am sick of it.They are even playing Carols in the shops already

In Ireland the other week, they had Halloween and Christmas together in all the shops, it was full-on.

Yeah, the shops were the same here, mostly Christmas though as Halloween isn't that big here, but it's getting bigger year by year.

I know what you mean Carol. There is so much hype and commercialism over Christmas now. Do you work over Christmas?

Yes I do but I try to get away as soon as I have served lunch and get the Kitchen Hands to do all the rest,they rotate every 4 hrs so that nobody is there all day

That was the same when I was still nursing; we did short shifts so that we got to spend some time with our families. Not that that would matter for me now, the kids are all grown up, and as two of my boys have married into Italian families, I come a very poor second for things like Christmas, Mothers Day, Easter etc.................now I'm whinging. lol

I do have one girl, but she joined the army and is currently posted to Brisbane. I have visited her in Brissy, Darwin, Perth, Townsville. Nothing like getting to see the country. hehe.
