Hi guys, won't be on much over the next few days and weeks, I'm off to England on Wednesday till June 2. Going to Suffolk for a week to do some wildflower photography, also Legoland, a couple of days in Belfast to see the rellies, a few days seeing a mate in Milton Keynes and last but not least, a huge sci-fi convention.
Will miss y'all, but will have some happy memories of our reunion to think of.

Guess what- I've just teed up a meet with Carol Simonds on Sunday, she lives not far from where I'm staying over the weekend so I've contacted her and we're going to meet up in Windsor and have afternoon tea. Isn't that exciting, she lived directly opposite us in the hostel- arrived about two weeks after us but went back to England when the two years was up. Some of you would have gone to school with her and her sisters Wendy and Kay at Seaholme.

That's terrific Judith. She possibly remembers my sister Dianne and brother David. Doubt she would remember me as I was so much older.

Hi Judith, sure you'll have a good time in London. We go to London quite a few times, love the place. If you go to watch a show then go to see Oliver, brilliant show well worth it.

Thanks Eileen, I don't mind the old Oliver, love the songs.
But I won't be doing London this time, only Windsor then straight to Suffolk.

Looks like we're having a mini-reunion, as both Carol Simonds' sisters are coming for afternoon tea on Sunday, what a bonus. We're hoping to go to the Crooked House tearooms in Windsor- it's worth a google, it's amazing!

That's it from me for a while, hopefully my laptop will work sometimes along the way.

Aw bummer, that's the day I leave to come home- what a waste of opportunity. cry
Well I met up yesterday as planned with |Carol, Wendy and Kay Simonds, and we had a wonderful afternoon at a teahouse in Windsor. They brought loads of old photos and we had plenty of laughs. Their memories are sketchy on many things-they went back in 1966- but we managed to resurface quite a few once we got talking. It was great to see them again.
Weather is amazing so far, and I'm glad to have made it here in between volcanoes, just heard it's playing up again and airports are closed. I went to Legoland on Saturday and I'm off to Suffolk tomorrow for a week.

We had a lovely afternoon in the Crooked House in Windsor having afternoon tea. Lots of reminiscing over photos and funny stories from Judith. I forgot my camera!! but both Judith and Kay had cameras so hopefully photos will be posted on the site too. Been reading about the reunion, and hearing from Judith, looking at photos from the reunion etc. Would loved to have been there, maybe one day we'll get out to Australia!!

Last post from me for a couple of weeks. I'm off to a Dr.Who convention in Los Angeles on Friday, will be back on March 5. Looking forward to catching up with the sci-fi mates and being a tacky tourist for two weeks.
Will continue the memoirs when I get back- there's so much more to go. Very Happy

Having a great time in Ireland with our Victoria. I went to the old US air base outside Belfast where Mum was a dance hostess during the war, and a trivia night at Dad's old RSL. (British Legion). And Susan Gillet is also on the road, we're catching up in Manchester in a few days. Happy days.
