Thanks Andy- an offer of one of our own as a driver is a great start. My weekends are totally booked till the last weekend of May...there's also Easter and Mothers Day in between. If either the Saturday or Sunday (May 28/29) suits Andy, maybe we could work around that. It also gives us time to choose a winery district, look into mini bus availability and contact everyone. The vine leaves will still be a beautiful shade of red and it won't yet be freezing cold.

Hi Andy and I have had a chat and we are thinking of Sat 21st may or Sunday 22nd of May,Andy is checking some places out ,so we need all the imput from everybody else as to where you would like to go,just post it here and Andy will check it out.When we had the big reunion I collected a lot of data from those who attended so we will be trying to contact people from there as well...so please let us know asap if you have any suggestions where to go ,and more importantly IF you are able to make it on that weekend..

Hi. Ive been following this forum. I couldnt make last years reunion. Im trying to find out if this date (22nd May) is a solid one, as I too am heavily booked out with other events.
I have been to Marybinong/Midway/Philip Hostel recentl. There are still some of the original buildings there. Perhaps we could make a call there for a walk around. Just a suggestion and I would have to T this up with the current occupiers (University of Victoria).
There is still an old Nissen hut there for nostalgia.
As 22nd May is almost upon us, I would need to know asap. Kindest Regards.

Hi All As mentioned before by Carole it looks like the Sunday 22nd is going to be the big bash. Thanks Richard for your invitation re Maribyrnong walk around that sounds like a really good idea on the day, I have not approached my employer as yet but we have a 14 seater bus at work and if I say and do the right thing it may be available to us free of charge for the day and I have a company fuel card,he he. I will make enquiries tomorrow re the bus and get back here tomorrow night and let you all know how I went. All we have to do then is find out numbers and where we can meet for pickup etc, The bus is in Port Melb. 30mins drive from me, so that can be the starting point so a time and planned route would be a must as it fits 14/13 passengers with me behind the wheel. Also we would have to arrange some hotel as a stop over to get you all sloshed for the singing on the way home. First in best dressed for the ride ok. all others will have to fend for themselves, lol. chat here tomorrow Andy

Hi Everybody,I have sent some messages on facebook and Linda is contacting a couple of people as well and so is Andy,as we have not had a very good response to the winery tour,we thought it would be better just to base ourselves in one spot,have lunch a few drinks and a bloody good chat,so Andy has suggested the rifle club in Williamstown,we did think of Cherry Lake but then we would be reliant on the weather,this way it doesn't matter what it does,we will be dry ( well on the outside anyway).The offer still stands for Andy to pick people up in the bus ,so in order for him to do that,you will need to let him know ASAP so that he knows what he is doing on the day and for him to plan a route..you can do that either by posting on here or better still PM Andy with your details and he will get back to you re times for pick up ect.
Please lets make this a great day,would love to see as many there as we can

Yes it is on for Sunday 22nd May,it has to be the Sunday as Judith is meeting her last captain on the Saturday Shocked

We are hoping to get together about 11.00,now wether we can get in the club at that time ,we will have to find out,but Andy is talking to them this week so we should know by the end of the week. but that is the only thing we are not certain about at this stage.
