Hi,
Just signed up.
I lived in the Australian Hostel for a short time whilst waiting to move to a housing commission place with my family which we got in 1963/1964.I cannot remember how long we stayed for but vaguely remember walking to school (Infants Kindergarten).(Kids in kindergarten would no way be able to walk to school on their own these days) & walking by a childcare centre & I think a Catholic school.But not sure...it could have been a bus stop where the Catholic kids waited for the bus.From memory it wasn't too bad to live there,had plenty of people to play with but I would have only been about 6 at the time.
