Thank you Len for putting the photos on. The top one is the canteen staff at Altona Hostel, my mum is kneeling 2nd from right, looking downwards. The middle photo is, left to right, Kay, Wendy and me outside our flat. And the third photo is Linda Eaton, me, Wendy, Kay and we can't remember the name of the girl front left. Does anybody know her name?

Great photo's. I can see my mum on the canteen staff photo. she is stood in front of the fella in hat. is that Otto? I remember her on about Otto, she said they didn't bomb Wigan in the war, he said it's because they couldn't find it. sorry don't remember the kids.

Hi, I am Kay (Carol � Sagittarius sister), so glad we have now shared our pics with you all. I just thought I would mention that in the third photo (with me and Wendy (our sister) in our party flocks, if you look very carefully you can see someone in the background rushing into what I think is the toilet block! Also to the right of the photo lurking in the doorway is (I think) our Mum (Sheila Simonds)! I love this website and even though I haven�t come in and said much I love reading all the various memories. I was only 5 or 6 so I only have a few memories, I can�t even remember why Wendy and myself have got party flocks on, I wonder whose party we were going to? Kay x

Just realised I put party "flocks", I actually meant frocks (dresses)! Where flocks came from I don't know!!

So happy to see mum in the canteen workers photo, dont have many of her from that time, we never took photos back then, more is the pity, Mrs Griffin always had her camera at the ready, a shame there wasnt more of her doing that, I think they were very exjpensive to print back then[/b]

It seems I was very camera shy, or no-one was willing to break their camera. I can only ever remember one photo of me from the hostel, and mum can't find it. lol

Yes it is Eileen, I wish she was alive today, she was as sharp as a tack and would be able to fill me in on so many things and would love this website, I wish I had a couple of photos of me, seems I wasnt very photogenic or something
