|
|
I was a resident of Berkeley Hostel with my father, Jim, my mother, May, and my two brothers, Derek and Graham from 1961 to 1964 (I think). My mother worked for a time in the Hostel Canteen. My father was a bricklayer at Port Kembla Steelworks. I went to Berkeley High School, while my brothers started off in East Berkeley Primary School. We all lived in a Nissan hut, ate canteen food, got bitten by mosquitoes, were bothered by flies, and played soccer for Berkeley Hostel. |
