Just remember some of us are coming from Queensland and wont have picnic rugs, fold up chairs, eskies etc, so If anyone has double of these things maybe they can bring them along, Doreen will definately need a comfy chair and a cushion. It will be a Saturday according to my callandar so we can buy some food on the way there I suppose. It is a public holiday in Queensland on the Monday, hoping I can talk the girls into staying till the Monday, make it a nice long week-end, and some extra time to catch up _________________ If its to be its up to me |

Hi everyone
I have found Annette Playfor and she is still great friends with Angela Ward she is going to call Angela and fill her in on the Reunion she doesn't have a computer, Annette is going to organize for us to meet up for lunch when she gets her quiet time at work, so the news is spreading they also have brothers and sisters and friend who were also on the hostel, so the numbers are growing

Got another taker- our Martin rang up last night and said he'd like to come. I was surprised at his enthusiasm, as he probably won't know anyone and has an appalling memory. He turned 8 in the hostel, in 1964. |

Great,be nice to meet Martin,I may have already but don't remember! Eileen,we will have to take bucket loads of photos and videos for you,I would send you a sausage, but it may not be too good when you get it lol, will keep posting re the oil spill, they say it is all under control now,but you know it looks like the same tank or pipeline I should say, that exploded when we were there,I know it has been a long time between the two events, but who knows what has happened that we dont know about and has been covered up...but that is all in another topic....
Any way this reunion cant come quick enough for me!!! _________________ Carol Myers Altona Hostel Dec 1962 - June 1964 |

I have just spoken with Ann Hesketh, mother of Wilhelmina, Georgina and Glen. It was so good catching up with her, and I now have the girls addresses, so will definitely be letting them know about the reunion.
Ann is friends with the Morrises who now live in Queensland, so will let them know about us too.
As you have said, it's growing........... _________________ Resident of Altona Hostel, 1963-1965 |
