Hi, what a great site.
My family moved out to Australia in 1968, firstly stopping in Villawood Hostel then onto the Bunnerong Hostel. I was 9 years old then and attended Hillsdale Primary then Matraville School (I remember the drums at morning assembly)...
Family moved back to Scotland on the Fairstar in 1971. I have been back to Australia a few times now, visiting old haunts like Randwick and Malabar. Matraville School hasn't changed a bit, even managed a tour of the classrooms on my last visit, headteacher was very friendly.
Look forward to reading through the various forums.
