Hello Ron Moore, My family, the Gillets were on the Altona Hostel from 1963 until 1965 and know all the folk mentioned in your post.
Susan my eldest daughter was also 12 when we arrived in Australia and was friends with nearly all those people mentioned.
We had a reunion on 24th April this year and it was a great success.
You will find posts from everyone on the Altona Hostel web site.
