Hi, I am David Joseph Worboys/Draper. I came to Australia in 1954 aboard the MV Strathnaver and lived at Balgownie hostel with my mother, stepfather and siblings until we moved to Brooklyn Hostel in Victoria (on the Geelong Rd). We then moved to a housing commission home in Broadmeadows, about 1956. Broadmeadows was in it's infancy at that time and the roads were just blue metal for some time. I met Phyllis, my wife in Broadmeadows when she was 16 and I was 19, we have been married since 1959. _________________ worbo |
