We, Mum, Dad and three kids, left the UK in Jun '59 on the SS Orantes and arrived in Bunnerong, Sydney late Jul '59. I was the oldest of the three at 8 yrs., with two sisters one and two years younger. We were there until Nov '61 when we left Oz for NZ and have been here ever since. Dad was in aircraft engineering and was offered a job with Air NZ (or TEAL as it was then), hence the move.
I have just discovered the forum site, and reading about peoples memories of Bunnerong brings back many of my own. Will post on those soon.
