I am Bob Moore, and I want to know of anyone who lived on Burwood Hostel in the early 1960's

Hope you mean Burwood NSW. I lived at Burwood so did my best friend Wendy.
We lived at Burwood (Broughton Hostel) NSW 1961-1964

It is Burwood NSW I am talking about, I had 3 Sisiters Marion Elaine and Christine, we were there in 1960 and 1961, then we moved, the McCarthurs, (Bob and Ian) and the Brays (Anne and her sisters) also lived there then.

I remember your sisters so does Wendy. We went to Burwood Hostel last year the Council arranged a sort of reunion there was about 25 people there.

Hi my name is Paul Flanagan. I lived at Burwood Hostel from April 1959 until sometime in 1961 with my mother (Clare) and father (Fred), my brother (Tony) and my sister (Lorraine). I was only six at the time and have vague recollections of my time there. I do remember the Brays, again vaguely. I think the mother was Olive.

My name is Patricia Sawers - nee THOMAS. My sisters Elizabeth and Yvonne and parents Norah and Dave, lived at the hostel between 1959 and 1962.
I certainly remember Ian McCarthur, and have photos still of us standing in the grounds.
We moved to NZ in 1962 and have been here ever since.

The Sawers are all related somewhere along the line, but my husband Richard doesnt recall a Craig Sawers.

We have lived in Christchurch for 13 years now and before that Dunedin where we moved after the hostel.

We moved to Burwood May 1962.... I am still in touch with Judy Brown her sister married Bob and they went to live in Stanmore. Bob passed away years ago. Small world, do you remember his brother Ian as far as we know he has also passed on.

Hi Patricia,
This is Sam Gregory. I stumbled across this site by accident and the first page I hit had your above message on it. I don't need to say that I remember you. I will however say that I have never forgotten you. It was GREAT to hear a blast from the past and If you see this perhaps we could correspond regarding old friends and what we have been up to over the last, dare I say, 50 odd years.
