[gaskin family]

Hi everyone,
my parents and my brothers and myself of course arrived at homesglen hostel n Nov 1967. we stayed at the hostel for 3 1/2 years. l think that my brothers and l attended jordanville primary school .My father had gotten a transfer from his work in England to be placed in australia, He worked for akinson vehicles. My mum got a job in a paper bag factory. It was no walk in the park, but my parents made a go of it, They buckled down and worked hard and were able to say in time, Yes AUSTRALIA is the lucky country. We were put on the waiting list and after 3 1/2 years we were moved to the flats in south yarra, ( now that is a new adventure) . Just wondering if anyone out there remember my parents David and Patricia Gaskin ???
ps , are there any old photos of the cabins and the canteen?? thanks for you help Hazel
