Hi,

My name is Julie, and I arrived at the Endeavour Hostel when I was 8 along with my parents and brother. We were one of the first 6 families to arrive at the site, all of whom were arrived by ship from England, the date was 26th January 1970. The Hostel was lovely, with lots of green fields around, it was very luxurious for the time.
