My name is Hazel and I was in Midway hostel from May 1970 and went to Maribyrnong Primary School.

Hi Helen, just letting you know that I was at Maribyrnong Hostel for about 11 months in 1966-67 and attended the state school until completing grade 6 in 1971. I can still remember vividly a fair bit about both, the little bloke running the kiosk, that sold everything from televisions to smarties and the dusty old canteen are as clear as a bell even now

I hope you're well. I'm pleased to see you found this forum (but that was a few years ago and I guess you might not visit here often). I hope the email notification for this posting reaches you.

Midway Hostel is many miles behind us and many years ago but I remember it well ( and I've come nearly full circle). Please pm me or post here.
