Hi guys

My name is Marina and I am currently researching post war immigration, in particular Displaced Persons, for my Honours project at the University of Tasmania.

I am interested in who came when to Tasmania and their experiences during this period (*up to approximately 1960), including accomodation and employment.

If anyone arrived in Tasmania during this period, and stayed in the hostels such as Brighton, I would love to hear from you. Also if you have any information that you could share with me, or sources regarding general information about hostels, that would be great.

Hi Marina, welcome to our forums.

Unfortunately our members count isn�t too great at the moment but it�s increasing all the time and hopefully �with your request� we may even have a few more join us.

In the mean time, please feel free to have a browse round our boards. If you should see anything of interest to you then please don�t hesitate to join-in and ask your question and hopefully it will get answered.

I�m sure there are a lot of people out there that have the knowledge (experience) and can contribute but the trick is � getting them to join.
